Gray by Silver(GBS) 의 음악은 그들의 뿌리인 한국 고유의 미를 표현하고, 부각시키는 전통 어법이 곳곳에 녹아져 있기에, 민족음악을 기반으로한 재즈라는 장르로 구분된다.  팀의 피아니스트이자, 작곡가인 이한빈은 섬세한 표현력과, 민족음악에 대한 깊은 이해를 바탕으로 GBS만의 음악세계를 구축해나가고 있으며, 보이스 이한율은 그녀의 목소리를 통해, 관객들이 음악 속에서 예술가들이 그려가는 그림을 함께 상상할 수 있도록 이끌어주는 역할을 한다. 대금 연주자 김태현은 국립국악원에서 대금연주자로 활동할 만큼, 전통분야의 뛰어난 연주력과 깊이감을 보유할 뿐만 아니라, 독창적인 즉흥 연주와 호흡을 기반으로 현대음악, 재즈와의 긴밀한 연결고리 역할을 맡고 있다. 드러머 박예닮은, 그의 연주속에 민족적인 리듬과 사운드를 자연스럽게 녹여내며, 한국부터 중동지역을 아우르는 색채를 팀의 음악 속에 녹여내며, 팀이 독창적인 사운드를 갖추어가는데 중요한 역할을 하고 있다.그레이바이실버는 그들이 삶에서 마주하는 광경과 감정들에 대해 곡을 쓰고, 연주한다. 그들의 긴밀한 호흡은 '고요함에서 격동까지' 이르는 서사를 갖추고 있으며, 그 안에 끊임없이 추구하는 예술적 '아름다움' 에 대한 고찰이 관객들에게 공감대를 형성한다.

If Gray by Silver's music should be in a genre, it could be located at Ethno Jazz area. Since lots part of their music essentially abuts onto Korean traditional sounds which display Korean oriental pulchritude. 

 

The pianist and composer HanBin Lee who has remarkable expression and comprehension of Ethno, leads the team, And the singer HanYul Lee's voice helps people to understand what the artist draws. On the Daegeum, TaeHyun Kim is the excellent player for not only Korean Traditional music, also Jazz, Progressive. One of the Rising Ethno drummer YeDarm Pak assimilates ethnic rhythm especially from traditional Korean to Middle east rhythm. 

 

GBS attempts to draw what they faced in life, in that way, They are receiving favorable reviews from divers deligates about delicate expression and their beautiful narrative.
