THE TUNE

the튠(The Tune)은 한국 전통음악을 재해석하여 실험성이 강한 창작 국악을 선보이는 팀으로 전통타악기와 해금, 건반, 보컬, 퍼커션 ,피리와 태평소로 구성이 되어있다. 그들은 한국의 샤머니즘, 노동요, 전통장단 등에서 창작의 모티브를 찾아 오늘의 시선으로 해석하여 자유롭고 경계가 없는 그들만의 음악을 통해 월드뮤직 영역을 개척해왔다. 국악에 뿌리를 두되 그것에 갇히지 않고, 발칙한 실험을 하되 전통을 놓지 않는 묘한 줄타기를 통해 묘한 아우라를 공연에 담아내는 것이 the튠의 음악이라고 할 수 있다.

 

2013년 결성 이후 지속적인 음악창작작업과 발표공연 등을 통해 국내외 활동기반을 다지고, 최근에는 여러 나라를 넘나들면서 다양한 국적의 관객들을 만나 그들의 음악을 알리며 교류하고 있다.

The Tune is the World Music band based on traditional Korean music such as traditional rhythms, folk songs and shamanic music, composed of Haegeum (Traditional String) and Janggu(Traditional Percussion), Piri and Taepyeongso (Traditional woodwinds), Percussions, keyboards and vocals. 

They have built their own musical style through constant research and experimentation on traditional Korean and shamanistic music. Korean traditional music, jazz, contemporary, and gypsy music are all engrossed in their music, so that the audience feel the mysterious aura of the oriental atmosphere.
